A Great Day Canoeing with Tzad Bet (B-side) by Alex Shapiro, Rosh Agam

Five smiling children wearing life jackets and green shirts sit in a canoe at a dock, holding paddles and posing for the photo. Canoes and kayaks are visible on the water and dock in the background.

Last Friday, Nitzanim, Alonim and MaKoR – our older Tzad Bet (B-side) campers – had a wonderful trip to Beaver Brook Reservation, where we had a picnic and then went canoeing.

We started our field trip with a wonderful packed lunch. It was so nice to sit out in nature and enjoy the day. The food was delicious – just as good as our amazing food at camp!

We then went canoeing for an hour down the Charles River! It was incredible to see the teamwork and friendships formed while paddling down the river. We had fun splashing and racing each other. Everyone came back to camp exhausted from their time in the sun and was rewarded with brownies!

Now our younger campers can look forward to their own canoe trip when they become Tzad Bet campers!
