Yom Avatiach (Watermelon Day)

A smiling adult in a watermelon costume stands next to a young girl wearing a watermelon shirt, colorful shorts, and a hat. They are outdoors on grass with tables and trees in the background on a sunny day.

We really got into the spirit of Yom Avatiach this year! Chanichim (campers) and tzevet (staff) came decked out in full watermelon gear – from bathing suits to earrings to headbands to hats and glasses, to one gigantic watermelon costume. This was our most enthusiastic theme day yet!

Teams of tzevet competed in a Watermelon Carving contest. Mazal tov to MaKoR (“Madrichim K’tanim b’Ramah”), our counselors in training, who are this year’s winners!
