Lego Camp

Last week’s LEGO Camp was a major hit, bringing creativity and engineering together for an unforgettable experience. Campers who enrolled had the exciting opportunity to work with a staff member from Play-Well, a hands-on engineering program that uses LEGOs to teach STEM concepts. With expert guidance, the campers explored the basics of engineering, diving into how gears, pulleys, and motors work—all while building imaginative and complex structures out of LEGO.
Throughout the week, campers were encouraged to dream big and think like engineers. From moving vehicles, to catapults, to structures with flapping dragon wings, each creation was powered by their growing knowledge of mechanical design and their endless creativity. Asher B, a counselor for Bunk 14,
noted that the campers were especially excited to play a game of LEGO quidditch because they got to use the catapults they had built in the game. It was amazing to see how much they learned while having fun, and the campers buzzed with excitement as each new invention came to life. LEGO Camp proved to be both educational and inspiring, giving kids a chance to build, learn, and play all at once.
We’re excited to see their creativity continue to grow when LEGO Camp returns during Week 7 of camp. There are still a few spots open for enrollment!
