Our Annual Erev Mishpacha!
There are many special moments throughout the summer at Ramah Boston, but Erev Mishpacha stands out as one that truly brings the whole community together.
Erev Mishpacha, or Family Night, is a time when campers, families, and staff join their camper at Ramah Boston after the normal camp day. It is an opportunity to open the doors, share the Ramah experience, and highlight the connections that are forming over the summer.
Throughout the evening, families had the chance to experience the excitement of camp firsthand. Campers proudly led their families around camp, showing off their favorite activities, introducing them to different spaces, and sharing everything they had been learning throughout the week. From art and drama to sports and so much more, every corner of camp was filled with movement, laughter, excitement, and meaningful moments of connection.
One of the most powerful parts of Erev Mishpacha is seeing the pride campers feel. As campers shared their favorite parts of Ramah, introduced their families to friends, and walked families through their daily chuggim, it became clear how quickly camp has become a place where campers feel confident and at home.
The evening also offers something meaningful for families. It provides a window into their child’s camp experience, allowing families to see the friendships, growth, and joy that define daily life at Ramah. It is a chance to connect not only with their camper, but with the broader camp community as well.
As we reflect on Erev Mishpach, there is a shared appreciation for everything that has already been built in just a week and a half: friendships, connections, and a strong community.
