Making a Splash
This summer, Ramah Boston is thrilled to launch an exciting new swim program in partnership with the Lenny Krayzelberg SwimRight Academy, a leader in aquatic education founded by four-time Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelberg. With SwimRight’s proven approach and our dedicated team, campers are diving into a program that prioritizes safety, skill-building, and fun.
At the heart of SwimRight’s philosophy is a focus on water safety. Before working on stroke technique, every camper is guided through essential safety skills that are critical for confidence and security in and around water. Once those foundations are strong, campers progress to learning strokes and improving their swimming form. From there, the program emphasizes speed and accuracy.
Our staff have spent many hours training to deliver this program with care and excellence. They’ve been trained not only in SwimRight’s unique methodology but also in how to provide personalized feedback and support to each swimmer. On the first days of camp, every camper was assessed and placed into a swim level that matched their current abilities. These groupings aren’t final—staff continue to observe and refine placements to ensure that every child is appropriately challenged and supported. “We work with everyone from kids who are hesitant to get in the water to kids who are learning the butterfly (an advanced swim skill!). We’ve tested and placed every kid into their levels based on their skills, and assigned them to their instructors”, our Rosh Swim, Gabe B. shared.
We’re especially excited to introduce Swimstr, the new mobile app that works alongside the SwimRight Academy curriculum. We encourage all parents to download the Swimstr app to follow your child’s swim journey at camp. The app allows you to see your camper’s level, track their skill progress, and celebrate milestones along the way.
We believe that swimming is more than just a fun camp activity—it’s a lifelong skill. With SwimRight and Swimstr, we’re setting our campers up for safety, strength, and success in the water and beyond.
