We require three written professional or school-related references for any individual who will be working at Ramah Day Camp. You may send the link to our online reference form to three individuals and ask them to complete it, OR you may ask your references to write you a letter of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be emailed to Rabbi Silverman. Either option is fine!

We understand that gathering three references can be time-consuming. You may return the staff application form to us, and send the references separately at a later date.

Is there a deadline to apply for a position at Ramah Day Camp?

No. Staff applications are accepted and processed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply early to secure your spot on our staff!

Are there any required staff activities?

Our counselors are expected to participate in training prior to the start of camp.  Training may include virtual sessions on evenings or weekends in the weeks leading up to camp as well as during our Staff Week (Wednesday, June 21 – Friday, June 23) and our Open House on Sunday, June 25.  Once camp begins, staff are expected to attend any special events or family programs, as well as staff meetings, which include dinner. Lastly, our staff is expected to return to camp on the Monday and Tuesday following the end of camp, to help facilitate cleaning up.

How do I get to camp?

Some staff serve as bus counselors, riding from a convenient stop to supervise our campers on the bus. Our bus counselors LOVE this daily road trip with their campers! Buses leave from centralized locations around Greater Boston. Alternatively, some staff may choose to drive to and from camp, located in Waltham, MA.
